These figures are initially sculpted out of clay, from which I create a negative silicon mold.
The positive form is created by combining charcoal with various flammable materials.
I photograph the sculpture as it is consumed by fire. No Photoshop filters were employed during the development of the image.
The colors, sparks etc… are a result of the materials interacting with the flame.
